Title: Leopold

Summary: Leopold was not a cruel man. Nevertheless, his wife wasn’t happy and in the end, she was his downfall.

This is basically my personal headcanon about Leopold as a husband to Regina. The story was initially written before season 2 began but I re-worked parts of it not to contradict canon.

Leopold was not a cruel man by nature - he didn’t need to be. He was born a prince and raised to be king. His father had fought the battles that the kingdom needed, and Leopold inherited a land that was well founded. For him, everything was a given, everything was his and he had every right to do as he wished. 

He learned that as King one had to be confident - one had to be a ruler or else the kingdom, along with its people, would go under. Leopold didn’t have much unrest in his country to deal with during his reign and he was generally regarded as a good King, people were loyal to him. So he was accustomed to getting what he wanted.

Q:I absolutely love Mama Who Bore Me! Regina and Cora are my two favourite characters and I like how you put a twist on Cora's actions. It's an idea I don't think we've seen from anyone else and I can't wait to see what happens next.
